About What's On...
Making Images: Photography Workshop
Do you like photography? Do you love Foxhill? Join in for the Photography taster Workshop to explore the area through a lens. Experiment with digital photography and share stories about the social history of Foxhill/Combe Down.
Making Art: M2AiR
M2 AIR is an Artist In Residence programme, designed for children. They will be showcasing some brilliant artworks from young artists aged between 7-12 years from last years M2 AIR season in Bristol. You can get creative with their installation and meet the artists. Come and explore!
Local Makers
Come and find out what your neighbours are making or come and share your talents! If you have a knack for upholstery, woodwork, cooking, knitting or welding, photography, palaeontology, or painting get involved. Whatever skill, talent or passion you have, we would love to hear from you - and to support you to share it. You might want to do a talk, a demonstration, or teach people the skills you have through a workshop, a course or a bigger project. Get in touch!
Making a Record: Chronicles of Foxhill
Kilter Theatre (Olly & Caroline) are inviting everyone who knows & loves the area to contribute ideas for a brand new Guided Tour of Foxhill, which will be premiered in the Bath Walking Festival in Sept ‘18. With a huge street-plan of the area & a time-line stretching back over 100 years, there are plenty of ways to stir up memories & put yourself firmly on the map.
Making Moves: Urban Playground
Sitting somewhere between sport, dance and motion, Urban Playground creates and teaches performance-parkour. We will be running a one hour workshop/performance ‘One Language is Never Enough’ which is a series of games to play, building to a crescendo of improvised group movement. Developed from a new model Urban Playground have trialled in Cornwall and Norway.
How to Make a Home: Walkie-Talkie
A two hour ruminative guided walk into the countryside. Leaving behind Foxhill & Mulberry Park, Olly & Caroline (Kilter) will introduce ideas & facilitate conversations that ponderous ramblers can stride though together in newly forming friendships. What makes a home a home? Four walls? A landscape? Where you lay your head at night? Or just where you go to find your Mum? Join us at the end of Meet the Makers event 1-3pm.
Refreshments
There will be foods & drinks available from 10am-1pm.
